The Cardiologist's Wife's Chocolate Too! Diet:

No Sugar, Low Fat *&* Low Carb

Hi! I'm once-chubby Joyce, my husband is Bob, and...call us the Cook & the Cardiologist. We’ve created a whole new world of food preparation. Meals, snacks, & desserts low carb and low fat and low cholesterol and no sugar (including hidden sugar) -- using two of the new century’s most important Miracle Foods: cocoa (top antioxidant) and Soy Protein Powder, the purest protein: calcium-&-vitamin rich; no carbohydrates, no cholesterol and no fat. (Fish & chicken both contain cholesterol. What they don’t contain is saturated fat. More info & a recipe for that here.)

FIRST miracle food: Cocoa
Have you heard about cocoa being a blockbuster, super antioxidant drug? (*See note below.) Would you like to save thousands of calories, lose weight -- and integrate cocoa & new low carb, low fat food products into a whole new generation of recipes for ALL MEALS & SNACKS? You can still eat your favorite things -- only now it's Substitute this ingredient for that, & THIS for THAT. Imagine! A no cravings diet... with cocoa the stay-feeling-good engine pulling the train!

Picture Fudge Sauce at 40 calories (and 8,000 antioxidants) per serving; or  Anytime Brownies & Blondies with No Sugar, No fat, & 19 grams of protein per serving (a hamburger has 12 grams), or Luscious Pumpkin Pie with No Cholesterol, No Sugar & No Fat! And surprise: even with this diet’s delicious meals -- shrimp scampi, chicken stroganoff with no-fat sour cream, Tex Mex, no-yolks quiche & gorgeous pasta, for example -- you may start seeing the meal as the cover act and dessert as the headliner!

SECOND Miracle Food: Soy Protein Powder (with its more-protein-for-the-buck, also makes for perfect Recession recipes)

Plant-derived proteins are the most pure proteins, since, unlike fish & lean chicken, they contain no cholesterol. (Fish & lean chicken contain cholesterol; what they don’t have is saturated fat.) And look at SPP’s other nutrients! More calcium, protein, vitamins & other nutrients than any other single food. Notice too the B vitamins -- a boon for those who want to cut their carbs & are wary of overdoing even “healthy” breads.
Soy Protein Powder is sweet, fluffy, and -- said the product information -- can replace up to half the flour in baking recipes. Huh? I started experimenting with it, using more…then way more than half SPP in everything. Mad scientist in the kitchen, making messes, trying to develop recipes that don’t use bad boy sugar & egg yolks.

Compare, for example, SPP to fat free milk. Below, based on the Percent Daily Needs of a 2,000 calorie diet, are the nutritional stats from the labels of both products:

Fat Free milk per 8 oz
serving:
86 calories, 8 g protein, 13 g carbs
Vitamin A 10%
Vitamin B6 0%
Vitamin B12 0%
Vitamin C 10%
Vitamin D 25%
Vitamin E 0%
Vitamin K 0%
Calcium 30%
Folic acid 0%
Iodine 0%
Iron 0%
Niacin 2%
Phosphorus 0%
Riboflavin 0%
Selenium 0%
Thiamin 0%

Are you amazed? Vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin, essential for bone strength. Selenium is an important antioxidant, Iodine is essential for thyroid hormone manufacture by the body, & iron is necessary to prevent anemia. Vitamins B6, B12, Niacin, Riboflavin, & Thiamin are the B vitamins also found in whole grains -- but in much higher amounts in the Soy Protein Powder.

Result of all that experimenting? Ahead, and in recipes still getting invented, are ways to substitute SPP for ALL flour. Say good-bye to about ten gazillion calories a year!

<-- Be sure your Soy Protein Powder is pure SPP, with no “special” flavors added. You’ll be making far more than smoothies...like pancakes, muffins & all kinds of main courses and baking goodies!
